FAQs

  • No, you do not need a referral to engage in therapy. If you wish to claim the Medicare rebate, a referral and Mental Health Care Plan are required. You can also access a rebate using Private Health; however you do not need a referral to receive this benefit.

  • If you have a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP, Paediatrician, or Psychiatrist, you will be eligible for a rebate from Medicare.

Initial MHCPs entitle you to 6 sessions, with an additional 4 sessions after review from your psychologist and GP.

You can receive a maximum of 10 sessions per calendar year with a MHCP rebate. You can still see your psychologist for more sessions without the rebate.

  • You can claim a percentage of the consultation fee back through your Private Health insurance. The rebate differs across providers and plans so we recommend you contact your insurance company before your appointment.

Please note that you can only claim one rebate, not from both Medicare and Private Health.

  • I support individuals with a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, perfectionism, self-esteem, social concerns, challenges related to neurodiversity, and emotional dysregulation.

  • I work with children over 10, adolescents, and adults.

  • All sessions are 50 minutes.

  • I recommend sessions to be weekly for the first 2 sessions before moving to fortnightly sessions. As your therapy progresses, sessions can be spread out further.

If you would like to ensure your preferred time and day does not book out please contact me and we can book up to 10 appointments in advance.
